The most commonly consumed tea in the USA, black tea is fully oxidized which produces the dark color and robust taste. While highest of all the teas, the caffeine content is still less than ½ as much as the same size cup of coffee. Early research indicates that black tea aids in the prevention of cardiovascular disease and stroke.
