Oolong tea has some of the same qualities/characteristics of both black and green teas. The flavor of Oolongs are “smoother” than black and less “grassy” than green tea. Oolongs are full bodied tea with a fragrant flavor and fruity sweet aroma. Oolongs are allowed to wither, and then are partially oxidized and dried. Oolongs offer a wide range of flavor and the caffeine will vary depending on the oxidation. The least oxidized, green oolongs have natural floral note while the darker oolongs have deeper color and many have fruit tones.
