Big Red Robe - Da Hong Pao
Legend has it that this tea got it's name after high ranking official of the king fell sick. Monks from the Fujian province where this tea is grown restored the King back to health by giving him some of this tea.
This highly fermented oolong is roasted lightly to highlight the distinctive mineral notes.
Da Hong Pao is the most expensive tea sold on the global market and is usually reserved for honored guests in China.
Use 1-2 teaspoons per 6-8 oz. cup of water.
Steep 1-3 minutes 194-205ºF
Leafs can be used 3-4 times.
